Welcome to the Sherborne Pilgrims website.

The Club was founded in 1923 with the objectives "to promote and encourage all forms of Old Shirburnian sport, and to keep members in touch with one another and with the School". This website is administered by the Club and was set up in April 2002. It is updated regularly and it is anticipated that the site will grow in accordance with the needs and wishes of the Club and its members.

The Club welcomes any suggestions, from any OS (or indeed any casual visitor to this website), for improvements, refinements and additions to the material herein. It is designed for ease of use and for ready access to information that should help to lessen the burden on those who administer Pilgrims sport. Please send all comments to me at:

Michael Wingfield Digby (b 51-56)

It is with great sadness that we notify Pilgrims of the death of Michael Wingfield Digby on 28 August 2008.

As well as representing the Club in 12 Cricketer Cup matches, Michael was an indispensable wicketkeeper/batsman in Pilgrims fixtures all over the country for many years. Above all, he brought fantastic energy and fun to the game.

He will be greatly missed by Jackie and all his many cricket and racing friends.

There will be a memorial service for Michael in Sherborne Abbey on Friday 10th October at 2.30pm, to which all are welcome.
